The Box Tops For Education fiscal year ended on March 1, 2012. Celebration K-8 School surpassed the budgeted goal and ended with a total of $4154.70! Great job to Claire Slater!

‎2012 Gaylord Palms Education Awards were held on Friday, March 16, 2012.

Three teachers were nominated from the Celebration area: Mrs. Vicky and Ms. Barry from Celebration K-8 School, and Mr. James Jacobson from Celebration High School.

The Celebration K-8 PTA bought a table at the event to help support our local teachers and staff! It was an incredible evening and we could not be more proud of our amazing Mrs. Vicky and Ms. Barry, they are second to none!

Show off your talent in the PTA’s Talent Show on Saturday, May 19, 2012.

There are many categories to cover a variety of talents and we encourage all students, grades Kindergarten through Eighth Grade, to participate. There is no cost to be in the show, only an audition for the PTA and Administration.

Auditions will be held on Wednesday, April 11 and Saturday, April 14 in the school gymnasium. Two weeks before the show there is a mandatory dress rehearsal for all entries on Saturday, May 5, 2012.

The P.E. Department at Celebration K-8 School is in need of a few items:
1. Snack-size plastic bags (or sandwich-size) used for “ice bags” down at the gym. When the kids fall down or get bumped by a ball (actually anything), they try to give them an ice bag to help them feel better.

2. 8 Plastic storage bins. Right now, they have extra P.E. uniforms for middle school students and would like to put these clothes in the plastic bins with lids on them for storage.

If anyone has these items that they are willing to donate, please bring them by the school office and let them know it is for the P.E. Department. Thank you in advance!!

Please join the Celebration K-8 School PTA for our PTA General Assembly Meeting on Monday, February 13, at 6:00 pm in the Great Hall. It will be immediately following the SAC Meeting, which will also be held in the Great Hall starting at 5:00pm. We will review the PTA budget, elect the Nominating Committee, discuss upcoming programs and hear an update from Mrs. Clayton. Childcare for school-age children will be provided in the Media Center, so please join us if you can! Would love to see new and returning friendly faces!!
