Recycle Bowl

It is time again for Recycle Bowl and we want Celebration K-8 to win again!!!

Starting October 21st we would like AT LEAST 3 volunteers during the lunch periods. Lunches run from 10:30 – 2:00 – all or any of that time can be used to police the recycle bins and make sure the students are putting the correct materials into the recycle bins. Also during this time, if someone would like to escort the little Recycle Ben Robot through the cafe (he is easy to learn to ‘drive’ and the younger kids love him).

Then starting on the October 22nd we need volunteers at dismissal (2:40 or 3:40) to go into the prides and collect what is left in the blue recycle bins and wheel them to the dumpster behind the cafe. This should only take about 20 to 30 minutes. Meet outside the office and look for Danielle Warner the committee chair or speak to Vicki in the front office.

Parents who volunteer are also encouraged to take pictures of any child who is seen going out of there way to do extra recycling and can be told they are a “Recycling Hero” and their picture will be on a school poster.

Together we can do this!!

While it may seem like the school year just ended, the Celebration K-8 PTA has been hard at work all summer planning for our 2nd Annual Fall 2014 PTA Fundraiser – “The Pride Prowl” – a fun and fitness filled multi-part fundraising event.

This is our primary fundraiser for the year and we hope to raise the majority of our budget used to fund the exceptional programs and activities we bring to the Celebration K-8 School. In past years, the Celebration K-8 PTA ran similar events with the aid of outside companies. Although these events were very successful, the administration fees charged consumed a large portion of the profits (upwards of 45%). Last year, our PTA volunteers took on the extra work of organizing this fundraiser ourselves – with 100% of the proceeds (~$33,000.00) going directly to OUR school.

This year, we’ve raised our goal to $50,000!

Sponsor a student to run the “In School” Obstacle Event (9/12/14):
